Frequently asked questions
Our insurance for students abroad covers:
- Treatment and Assistance costs up to 300,000 EUR
- Consequences of Accidents (NNW) up to 10,000 EUR
- Baggage up to 1,200 EUR
- Civil Liability (OC) up to 30,000 EUR
Optionally, you can also insure yourself against:
- Interruption of studies up to 3,000 EUR
You can also extend the protection to include:
- Alcohol clause
- Physical work
Travel insurance can last 30 days and multiples thereof but no longer than 180 days.
The price of EduCat Insurance depends on two factors:
- the variant – there are 3 variants available: Essentials, Premium, and All Inclusive
- the country of study: if you study in Europe: Essential costs 28 EUR, Premium 48 EUR, All inclusive – 68 EUR. If you study outside Europe (USA, Canada) then Essential costs 35 EUR, Premium 55 EUR, All inclusive – 85 EUR.
All prices are per person for 30 days. Of course, you can purchase insurance for multiples of 30 days.
It’s very simple! Just fill out the insurance form and provide some information about yourself and your studies. We will immediately calculate the fee, and you will be able to pay for the insurance.

- You will be recommended a doctor or hospital nearby;
- Appropriate treatment will be provided depending on your health condition;
- Help in organizing transport to Poland will be provided.
We offer insurance for citizens of the following countries:
France, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Poland, Italy, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Portugal, Austria, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Croatia, Slovakia, Estonia, Denmark, Belgium, Slovenia, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Malta.
Individuals who are going abroad for the purpose of studying and who are no more than 30 years old at the time of entering into the insurance agreement.
Yes, as a parent, you can purchase a policy for your child.
Unfortunately, AXA Partners’ policy does not allow for the cancellation of insurance for students abroad. It is not possible to get a refund if plans change and there is no need to travel abroad.
Yes, we allow changes that do not affect the policy’s duration. Details that can be updated include first name, last name, date of birth.
It is not possible to change the number of days in the policy or the departure dates for studying abroad.
It is also not possible to make any changes to the insurance from the day it starts. To introduce any changes, log in to your account and modify the policy or write to us at info@educat.study.
Changes to the policy are only allowed before the start of the insurance period. To make changes to the policy, log in to your account on the applicant’s page at https://applicant.educat.study, select your policy, and make the necessary changes.
There is also a second option for this purpose; contact us at info@educat.study – provide your policy number, original data, and new data (e.g., incorrect date of birth and correct date of birth). We will make the changes on our end and send you a new policy.
IMPORTANT: EduCat operates from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 17.00 CET, so remember to inform us about changes in a timely manner. If the policy starts on a Monday and you inform us about changes on Saturday or Sunday, we will not be able to make the changes before the start of the insurance period, which may result in later problems with getting a refund.
NOTE: We strongly recommend reading the regulations after making a purchase. If any data is incorrect, please inform EduCat Insurance. Please do not leave the policy unchecked and do not do this at the last minute.
Your coverage will start the day after the premium is paid. If you are already abroad, coverage will start 3 days after the premium is paid.
Yes, the maximum age for the person insured is 30 years (inclusive).
Yes, we always try to cover the treatment costs so that it is cashless for the client.
However, there are situations with very low costs or when the insured organizes a doctor’s visit themselves that we refund the incurred costs on a reimbursement basis. Then the client collects the medical documentation confirming the event as well as receipts and invoices and provides them to us.
Yes, EduCat Insurance also covers Erasmus and Erasmus+ trips.
